The context

The business behind the brief

The apparel platform is premium women's strength apparel ecommerce. The delivered product combines a dark luxury athletic storefront with the operational workflow needed to sell and fulfill apparel.

The scope includes customer checkout as well as catalog and order administration. Payment events, fulfillment integration and deployment are part of that same product.

The challenge

What the system needed to solve

  • 01

Connect the dark athletic storefront to catalog administration without treating the customer interface as the entire product.

  • 02

Turn Stripe payment notifications into orders and connect those orders with Printful fulfillment.

  • 03

Give operators both catalog and order management in the deployed Railway application.

The solution

From requirements to working software

Delivered functionality and implementation boundaries.

01

Shape the storefront

The dark luxury athletic direction establishes how the merchandise is presented. Catalog management gives the operator the corresponding administrative capability. These are two sides of the same storefront: a customer needs to understand the apparel, and the operator needs a way to manage what is offered.

02

Connect Stripe Checkout

The purchase journey uses Stripe Checkout. Processor-managed payment collection separates card entry from the storefront application. Hosted checkout can reduce card-data exposure, but does not remove the merchant's PCI responsibilities. Checkout and the subsequent order workflow have distinct jobs.

03

Create orders from webhooks

Stripe webhooks create orders. The payment event supplies the input to the order workflow even when the shopper's browser does not return to a success page. An order workflow must distinguish payment completion from an incomplete or delayed payment before authorizing fulfillment.

04

Manage orders and fulfillment

Admin order management supports operational work after checkout. The Printful integration connects purchases to apparel fulfillment. The important separation is between the commercial order and its fulfillment: taking a payment and producing a garment are different operations, even when they belong to one customer journey.

05

Deploy the product

Railway provides the deployment platform for the application. The architecture connects the storefront, Stripe payment events, order administration and Printful fulfillment. Following an order through those boundaries explains the product more clearly than treating the checkout screen as the end of the purchase.

Core functionality

What the product lets people do

  • Product catalog administration
  • Processor-hosted Stripe Checkout
  • Order creation from Stripe payment webhooks
  • Administrative order management
  • Printful fulfillment integration

Technical implementation

Architecture and system boundaries

The storefront hands payment collection to Stripe Checkout. Stripe webhooks create orders, while administrative interfaces manage the catalog and order workflow. The Printful connection links orders to fulfillment. Railway provides the application deployment environment. The original frontend and database technologies are not established in the supplied project record.
