Privacy Policy

What we collect, why, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do about it. This policy is written to be read.

1. The short version

We collect what you send us and almost nothing else. There is no advertising network on this site, no cross site tracking, and nothing non essential loads until you consent to it.

  • Submit the quote form and we hold what you typed, so we can reply to it.
  • Request a guide and we hold your email address and your topic.
  • Browsing can generate technical logs, including a network address.
  • This website has no advertising data-sale integration.

2. Who is responsible

Sawhorse Software LLC is the controller for the personal information described in this policy. Contact us at support@sawhorsesoftware.tech about anything in it, including to exercise a right described below.

3. What we collect and why

Information you send us

When you submit the quote form we receive your name, your work email address, your company name, an optional website address, the industry, need type, solution type, timeline, region and preferred support language you selected, whether you indicated an NDA is required, and the description you wrote. We use it to respond to your enquiry and, if an engagement follows, to deliver it.

When you request a guide we receive your email address, the topic and the format you chose. We use it to write the material and tell you when it is published.

Information collected automatically

Our hosting platform records standard server information such as the requested address, the response status, a timestamp and the originating network address. This is operational logging needed to run and secure the site. We do not combine it with form submissions to build a profile.

Vercel Firewall processes network identifiers and rate-limit counters to protect submission endpoints across server instances. Platform logging and retention settings apply to this security processing.

Information we do not collect

We do not collect payment card details on this site. We do not use advertising or cross site tracking technology. We do not buy contact lists.

5. Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the service providers needed to operate this site and respond to you, and only to the extent required:

  • Hosting and delivery. Our hosting platform serves the site and produces the operational logs described above.
  • Email delivery. Our transactional email provider sends your confirmation and our internal notification. Message content passes through it in order to be delivered.
  • Onward systems. Where a customer relationship system is configured, quote submissions are also delivered to it. That system is operated by us for our own records.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We disclose information where we are legally required to, and we would tell you unless prohibited from doing so.

6. International transfers

We serve clients in North America and Europe, and our service providers operate internationally. Where personal information moves between regions, we rely on the transfer mechanisms available to those providers, such as standard contractual clauses. If you need the specifics for a procurement review, ask and we will provide them.

7. How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement. Kept while the conversation is live and for a reasonable period after, then deleted.
  • Enquiries that lead to an engagement. Kept for the duration of the engagement and for as long as we are required to keep business records afterwards.
  • Guide requests. Kept until the material is published and you have been told, then deleted unless you asked to hear about future material.
  • Operational logs. Retained according to the settings of our hosting platform.

You can request deletion by email. We assess requests against applicable rights and any legal obligations to retain records.

8. Your rights

Depending on the applicable law and circumstances, your rights may include:

  • Ask what we hold about you and receive a copy.
  • Have inaccurate information corrected.
  • Have information deleted where we have no overriding obligation to keep it.
  • Object to or restrict processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Receive the information you gave us in a portable format.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, which does not affect processing already carried out.

For California residents, we confirm that we do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross context behavioural advertising. You have the right to know, delete, correct and to be free from discrimination for exercising those rights.

To exercise any right, email support@sawhorsesoftware.tech. We respond within the period the applicable law allows. If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area and are unhappy with our response, you may complain to your data protection authority.

9. Cookies

This site uses only what it needs to function, and nothing non essential loads until you accept. The cookie policy sets out what is stored, why, and how to change your choice.

10. Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit. Credentials are held in a platform secret store scoped per environment rather than in a repository. Access to systems is granted on a least privilege basis and removed when it is no longer needed. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise, but the practice is described accurately on our security and IP page.

11. Children

This is a business website and it is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under sixteen. If you believe we have, tell us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We update this policy when our practices change. The version on this page is the current one and the date it was last updated is shown at the top. Material changes will be described rather than slipped in.
