Privacy Policy

What information Sawhorse collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it.

Last updated: August 21, 2026Entity: Sawhorse Software LLCOperated by: Enzo CaperaGoverning jurisdiction: State of Florida, United States

01Who this policy covers

This Privacy Policy explains how Sawhorse Software LLC, a Florida limited liability company operated by Enzo Capera (“Sawhorse”, “we”, “us”), collects, uses, shares and retains information when you visit this website, contact us, or use services we provide.

It covers two distinct roles. When we decide how and why information is handled — for example, information you send through our contact form — we act as a controller. When we host or process information on behalf of a business customer inside software we built for them, we act as a processor, and we handle that data according to that customer’s instructions and their agreement with us. If you are an end customer of one of our customers, their privacy policy governs your data, not this one.

02Information we collect

Information you provide to us directly:

  • Contact and project details you submit through the build request form or early-access form — name, company, email address, optional phone number, and the description of your business, problem, feature interests, timeline and budget range.
  • Correspondence you send us by email or other channels.
  • Account information for services we host for you, such as usernames, roles and authentication data.
  • Billing details necessary to invoice you. Card details, where applicable, are handled by a payment processor and are not stored by Sawhorse.

Information collected automatically when you visit the Site:

  • Standard server and request information such as IP address, browser type and user agent, referring page, and the pages you request, together with timestamps.
  • Aggregate usage measurements where analytics are enabled.

Customer data we process on behalf of a customer: whatever that customer’s system holds — which may include their own customers’ names, contact details, job records and communications. We do not use that data for our own purposes.

Demonstrations on this site run entirely in your browser. Anything you type into a demo form is not transmitted to Sawhorse and is discarded when you leave the page. Please do not enter real personal or confidential information into a demonstration.

03How we use information

We use information to:

  • Respond to your enquiry, scope work and provide a quote.
  • Deliver, host, maintain and support the services you purchase.
  • Invoice you and keep required financial records.
  • Secure our systems, prevent abuse and investigate incidents.
  • Improve the Site and our services in aggregate.
  • Send service communications about work in progress, incidents or changes to terms.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. If we ever introduce a marketing newsletter, it will be opt-in and separately consented to.

Where a legal basis is required (for example under GDPR), we rely on: performance of a contract for delivering services; legitimate interests for securing our systems and responding to business enquiries; consent for any optional analytics or marketing; and legal obligation for financial records.

04Contact and build request forms

When you submit the build request or early-access form, we record what you submitted together with the time of submission and basic request metadata such as your user agent and referring page. We use this to reply, to scope the work you have described, and to keep a record of the enquiry.

Submissions are stored so they can later be routed into Sawhorse’s own customer system. Access is limited to personnel who need it to respond to you.

05Cookies and similar technologies

This website is designed to function without advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We use only what is necessary for the Site to work, plus any analytics described below.

Where analytics or other non-essential technologies are enabled and your jurisdiction requires consent, we will present a consent mechanism and honour your choice. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings; strictly necessary functionality may be affected.

06Analytics

Where analytics are enabled, we use them to understand aggregate usage — which pages are visited, how the Site performs, and where it fails. We configure analytics to minimise personal data collection where the provider allows it.

Analytics providers act as our processors and are contractually restricted from using the data for their own purposes. Where a customer’s own site includes analytics we implemented at their request, that customer determines its configuration.

07Service providers and infrastructure

We rely on third parties to operate our business, including cloud infrastructure and hosting providers, email and communication services, error monitoring, payment processing, and professional advisers.

These providers may process information on our behalf under contracts that require them to protect it, use it only for the purposes we specify, and delete or return it at the end of the relationship.

For managed services, the underlying infrastructure vendor is selected and managed by Sawhorse as part of the service. Customers purchase a Sawhorse Managed service rather than a specific vendor’s product; we will identify the material providers on request.

08When we disclose information

We disclose information only:

  • To service providers and processors as described above.
  • To a customer, where the information belongs to their system and we hold it as their processor.
  • Where required by law, legal process or a valid governmental request, after review and, where legally permitted, notice to you.
  • To protect the rights, safety or property of Sawhorse, our customers or the public.
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy continuing to apply to the transferred information.

09International transfers

Our providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where information is transferred from a jurisdiction that restricts such transfers, we rely on an appropriate transfer mechanism — such as standard contractual clauses — and take steps to ensure the information remains protected.

10Retention

We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes described here, or as required by law.

  • Enquiries that do not become projects: retained for up to [24] months, then deleted.
  • Customer and project records: retained for the duration of the relationship and for [7] years afterwards where required for tax, accounting and dispute purposes.
  • Hosted customer data: retained per the applicable Order; after termination it is available for export for [30] days, then deleted from active systems.
  • Server and security logs: retained for a short operational period, typically [90] days.

Residual copies may remain in backups for the ordinary backup cycle before being overwritten.

11Security

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including encryption in transit, access controls limited to personnel who need access, and routine patching of systems we operate.

No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and any regulator as required by applicable law and without undue delay.

12Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you and receive a copy.
  • Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Request deletion, subject to records we must keep.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Receive your information in a portable format.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising — noting that Sawhorse does not sell or share personal information for advertising.

To exercise a right, contact us at enzocaperaausa@gmail.com. We will verify your request and respond within the period required by applicable law. You will not be discriminated against for exercising a right.

If your data sits inside a system we host for one of our customers, please contact that customer directly; we will refer your request to them and support them in responding.

If you are in the EEA or UK you may lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. If you are in a US state with a privacy law granting an appeal right, you may appeal a refusal by replying to our decision.

13Children

The Site and our services are directed to businesses and are not intended for children under [16]. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

14Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated to active customers by email, and where required we will seek your consent.
